Ron Paul Delegates Promise To Behave
Paul delegates in Massachusetts had a particularly turbulent fight with Romney backers. In a video, they speak directly to the camera and promise to behave in Tampa.
The Massachusetts Liberty Caucus put out a “Message to the Massachusetts GOP” today as a response to the recent conflict at the state Republican convention.
“There are rumors that some delegates in Massachusetts are going to cause problems at the convention,” one man says.
One after another, the people in the video say that they “oppose any and all legal action to unbind delegates,” a reference to the affidavits that Ron Paul delegates at the Massachusetts convention were pressured to sign, promising they would vote for Mitt Romney.
“I am a Republican,” they say. “Let’s work together.”
One woman says that Ron Paul “inspired her to be civil,” followed by a man who says that Paul spurred him to “follow the rules.”
Establishment Republicans have worried that Paul delegates will cause trouble at the national convention, a charge the Paul campaign has tried to combat. The Massachusetts video, with its pensive air, looks to smooth over the rough image Paul supporters have developed.

steveg25 9 months agoOK. I love Ron Paul; he’s carried the weight and he’s been the man in the wilderness for many years, and I am among his biggest fans. That said, it’s critically important that we understand everything we are now up against as a nation. The government boot is primed to come down HARD in the next several years through Dodd-Frank. It makes ObamaCare look like child’s play. We WILL be a totally fascist country in a few short years if we don’t get Obama out right now, gain control of the Senate, and repeal these unprecedented government power grabs ASAP. I’m not just blowing smoke - I help write government-compliance education, and I’m really getting afraid for our country’s future. Please - we need to get Obama OUT, first and foremost. Ron Paul will have PLENTY of sway in a republican controlled government, and I wholeheartedly support his efforts. But I am voting for Romney, keeping my eyes on the critical mission of overturning these incredibly blatantly fascist federal power grabs.

dangerouslytalented 10 months agoRon Paul was NEVER EVER AT ALL GOING TO BE THE NOMINEE, LET ALONE PRESIDENT. He did not have enough votes, he did not have enough delegates. All he had was a very enthusiastic base, but there was nobody who wanted to join the bandwagon, so you just have a very noisy supporter base, but when you get to actual numbers, few who are not rabid diehard supporters want him anywhere near the white house.
