Lickable Ads

Russian Standard has taken out an ad in the Guardian that you can lick to get a taste of their vodka. Apparently it's a new technology called “Peel n' Taste” that works much like those Listerine breath strips that dissolve in your mouth. I can totally seeing myself paper-cutting my tongue while desperately trying to get wasted off of this.

  • I would definitely appreciate lickable ads more if I wasn't so opposed to contracting bacterial meningitis.

  • What a hot new gimmick! Now instead of being bothered by horrendous smells emanating from perfume and cologne scent strips, you can plop down onto that comfy-as-bare-stone chair in the doc's waiting room, open up a several-month-old issue of Neurotic Parent or Celebrity Voyeur or Pictures of Houses You'll Never Own, and have the sheer pleasure of running across an entire page filled with the dried saliva of dozens of sick strangers. Awesome!
