Body Of Missing Kayaker Who Was With Annie Lennox's Daughter Is Found

Ian Jones has been missing since he and his girlfriend, Tali Fruchtmann — daughter of singer Annie Lennox — were thrown into the water when their kayak capsized.

A body recovered in the Hudson River on Monday is that of Ian Jones, who went missing after his kayak overturned Saturday morning near Mills Mansion, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Jones, 32, has been missing since he and his girlfriend, Tali Fruchtmann — the 22-year-old daughter of singer Annie Lennox — were thrown into the water when their kayak capsized, the authorities said in a press release.

An autopsy revealed no injuries or trauma to Jones' body, and the results of the tests are consistent with drowning. There were also no signs of foul play.

Neither Jones nor Fruchtmann were wearing life jackets at the time and alcohol may have contributed to the accident. Toxicology tests were performed but results won't be available for several weeks. Fruchtmann was picked up by a passing boat shortly after the kayak overturned.

A memorial was set up in New York City's East Village neighborhood.
