It’s hard to love iTunes and even harder to love Windows Media Player. But there was a time, back in the Napster days, when people actually loved their music players. I was a dedicated Winamp guy before I switched to Foobar (now I’m on Rdio), so Ars Technica’s history of Winamp, written for the player’s 15th anniversary, is a hell of a nostalgia trip.
