This Week’s American Time Magazine Has A Much Safer Cover Than The International Editions

This is a pretty telling difference if ever there was one. I don’t know whether I should be annoyed with Time Magazine for being so cynical as to think that Americans wouldn’t be interested in the international cover story, or if I should be annoyed with Americans for giving Time reason to be cynical. posted on November 25, 2011 at 5:05pm EST

It probably has more to do with advertising. Newsmagazines pre-sell advertisers on these “advertorials” where they devote an issue to a topic that’s relevant to the product. Pharmaceutical money is the reason why you see so many health-related Time and Newsweek covers.
