BlueSerenade 11 months agoWho was the last Republican that blacks could wholly throw their support behind? Legit question. Black republicans are about as taboo as gay republicans. Prepare to be crucified by your entire community. If republicans want more support from the black community, they’re going to need to somehow show they can connect to them on their issues because there are serious trust issues in place between minorities and republicans. Although Obamacare has hurt a lot of people (I guess. Meh) it’s also helped a lot of people in the black community (and all communities, but since this was at the NAACP, I’m singling them out). Call me a bleeding heart, but I didn’t think the way to earn people’s trust was by telling them what you’re not going to do for them.
