  • Oh my god no… Obama has slightly altered an opinion on something due to new circumstances. It's a good thing they don't have hundreds of examples of his opponents doing that. Imagine how embarrassing that would be.

    here's a hypothetical example…A soccer coach, says we should keep the use of hands out of the game. Then the governing body, passes a new rule that allows you to use your hands. But the coach, decides his team won't use their hands, because he's against it…even as they are at a severe disadvantage and begin to lose every game… He was against an ideal, then a law passed that allowed the thing he was opposed to…if he chooses to not play by the new rules, he will lose.

  • Lets be honest, he isn't regretting saying that at all. Obama got elected believing that people on both sides would respect each other and work for a better America. He was wrong, what he is really regretting, is believing that politicians would actually care about the country.

  • Because the only way to secure the opportunity to defend our ideals is to actually be able to compete against unlimited corporate spending.  Obviously, Romney and Obama should both play by different rules. Perhaps if Mitt “Corporations are people, my friend” Romney was held to any sort of standard by republicans, there would be no reason to reconsider an approach to campaign finance.
