I am not a Ron Paul fanatic. However, given the other canidates,including Obama, how any sane person could even consider any other candidate is beyond my understanding. I understand that some of his personal opinions on things like abortion might not align with yours. However, how can anyone argue with his overall position on personal freedom? Take the USA’s insistence on repeating the imperial actions of the worst civilizations through history. We bomb innocent people and then wonder why they don’t like us. Ron Paul is the only person talking with any sanity. Obama has turned out to be another of the war presidents. Regarding His newsletter spouted horrible racist content for twenty years. That is not an accurate fact and reflects the fact that you are twisting the facts to fit your agenda. Benjamin Sapiens a year agoRon Paul is a very strange combination of pure brilliant awesomeness and kooky, wackjob absurdity. (Admittedly, even at his most ridiculous he’s far better than many other politicians, but that doesn’t make some of his beliefs any less atrocious.) Let’s remember that not all of his positions are based on common sense or a respect for liberty … What’s wrong with Ron Paul? • He doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state.
• He believes abortion, and even the morning-after pill, should be illegal.
• He’s a creationist who doesn’t believe in evolution.
• While he doesn’t support a federal ban on gay marriage, he also doesn’t support a federal law legalizing gay marriage. Some see this as a states’ rights issue, and this is how he frames it, but he does support other federal legalization movements (drugs, for example).
• His newsletter spouted horrible racist content for twenty years. He denies writing any of it, but if he allowed this content to go out under his name, he either approved it or was so ignorant of both the type of people he associates with and the type of content going under his name that he shouldn’t be trusted to run anything.
• He believes in reinstating the gold standard, which most economists believe was one of the major causes of several financial crises during the early part of the 20th Century, including the Great Depression.
• He believes in laisez-faire capitalism.
• He is a frequent guest on the Alex Jones Show, a radio program hosted by government-hating right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

paultards never give up. if this racist, homophobic, anti-woman goldbug kook is so s-m-r-t, why is he getting crushed by the “retards” hes debating? youd think with those qualifications hed be winning the republican nomination in a landslide. if you say, money is the reason. good. then dont think money = speech and corporations are people and libertarian philosophy actually works in the real world.
