The difference is that north florida is part of the Bible Belt; Romney will likely lose the South over being a mormon. Who will southerners for — a black or a mormon? Duhn-duhn-duuuuuhhhhnn.

Sooo basically no population centers for Gingrich except a university town full of kids under-registered and not paying attention. On CNN tonight they showed that Gingrich’s rural win areas overlapped with Tea Party identification areas in the state. Sounds about right.

The panhandle and the central/southern parts of Florida are like different states. Whenever I tell people I’m from “the South” and they find out from Florida, they inevitably say, “Florida’s not the South!” These people have obviously never been to the panhandle.
