Twitterank Freaks Everyone Out
Twitter ranking site Twitterank was the big news on Twitter today, until users started worrying about the fact that they'd unquestioningly given it their passwords. I took the time to email the creator himself. He says “Hi Richie, Sorry about the slow response. I just got back from work, and am trying
to catch up on email :-) Your intuition is correct. I'm just a dude who had an idea, and
underestimated how willing people are to give strangers their passwords.
I do agree that people should be more cautious about giving away their
passwords, though I wish ZDnet had gotten my side of the story before
spreading rumors. Ryo”
