C'mon! The Bill of Rights totally rips off the Virginia Bill of Rights! They even stole the name! Jefferson never gets recognized for the early solo work he did, instead everyone talks about the “Founding Fathers”. Most of them never did anything decent before or after the Constitution.
I have a couple bootleg tapes of the Mount Vernon Convention, before the Founding Fathers sold out and went on their “American Tour”. It's much rawer, and less watered-down than what ended up in their later studio collaborations.
How about the Lame Duck Amendment—my favorite
Um, yeah, the Articles of Confederation would probably be OK if they weren't totally ripped off of the Iroquois Confederacy. They make for pleasant beach reading, if you're into that sort of thing, but there's nothing truly original about them. Nothing more than derivative crap, if you ask me. I was into them when I was, like, 12, but I like to think I'm past that by now.
Holy crap, how have I forgotten about Toothpaste for Dinner??!
People tend to fetishize the first ten too much. Some of the early stuff on Bill of Rights is good, but there's also a lot of filler. Many of the later amendments (for example, “Repealing Prohibition” or “Abolition”) are much stronger than tracks like the short, unprovocative “No Quarter” and the ambling, pointless “Unenumerated Rights”.
this is stupid and makes no sense.
