Bryan Singer Is Having A Baby With His Best Friend Of 25 Years

The X-Men director is expecting a child with Queer As Folk actor Michelle Clunie.

Bryan Singer is expecting a child in early 2015 with his longtime friend Queer As Folk alum Michelle Clunie, Singer's rep Simon Halls confirmed to BuzzFeed News.

"The pair, who have been best friends for 25 years, are over the moon with the pregnancy," Halls told BuzzFeed News. "[The two] look forward to co-parenting the child together. The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two," Halls told E! News.

The National Enquirer and Radar both reported that Singer had purchased a home for Clunie, who is allegedly seven months pregnant, so that she could be closer to him.

Clunie seemed to confirm that she moved in August with the below tweet.

@Hanny_Nanny let me get this move done and then back to work! Promise!

However, Clunie's rep told BuzzFeed News, "Michelle and Bryan have been close friends for decades — that fact, combined with the proximity of their homes — is hardly grounds to report that she is now also his surrogate. It's just bad journalism." When asked for further comment, Clunie's rep did not immediately respond.

Singer made headlines earlier this year after being served with a lawsuit in April 2014, alleging he sexually assaulted Michael Egan in the late 1990s, when Egan was 17 years old. In May 2014, another lawsuit was filed on behalf of an anonymous British man, accusing Singer and producer Gary Goddard of sexual assault. In August 2014, the first lawsuit was withdrawn. That same month, the NYPD opened an investigation into Singer allegedly sexually assaulting a man more than 20 years his junior, but no charges were filed.

Update: Clunie announced the news Wednesday night on her Twitter account.

I can't wait to be a Mother. Thank you so much for all your love and support!!! #21stcenturyfamiliesrock
