Democrats Won’t Let Up On Romney’s Dog “Abuse”
Unchastened by gleeful conservative pushback that Obama, as a child, ate dogmeat, the Democratic group Dogs Against Romney is mounting a new campaign. The theme this time: That Romney’s admission that he strapped a dog to his roof landed him on two animal abuse registries in 2007. Ann Romney said recently that the dig, Seamus, “loved it” atop the car.
BuzzFeed asked Dogs Against Romney founder Scott Crider what he made of the furious conservative campaign last week to answer his charges against Romney with what many see as an equally absurd attack: That Obama ate dog as a boy in Indonesia.
His response:
I viewed the push-back as a desperate move to try to blunt the impact the dog-on-roof story is having on Romney. No one holds Obama accountable for what was fed to him by his parents as a 6-year-old in Indonesia. If Obama had chosen to eat dog as an adult, in America, and told everyone the dog enjoyed being eaten, Romney would have an argument.

That’s right: the only reason this “Obama ate a dog!!111!1!!” nonsense has been floating through our national dialogue this past week is because it got dredged up and published in a right-wing tabloid by some little twat who’s paid to act as a travesty of a journalist and who’s now trolling this article on BuzzFeed. This, America, is why we can’t have nice things.

Republicans and conservatives don’t care much about the dog issue with Romney and Obama, but so long as the libs don’t want to debate real issues like the economy or the deficit and bring up the Seamus story, we will continue to bring up that Obama ate a dog. So libs deal with it. Oh yeah, Obama eats dogs.

Obama has some explaining to do. Did he eat dog, or did he eat dogs? How many times did he eat dog and when did he eat them? When exactly was the very last time that he ate a dog? Did he eat dog steaks or dog burgers? If dog burgers, then he may have eaten more than one dog with each bite? True Dog lovers call on the White House to stop covering up the facts of this situation. Americans all across this great country want to see the first draft of the original manuscript of the book where this Obama dog-eating confession was recorded.

kamid a year agoI think a lot of people here are missing the point of the Obama Eats Dogs meme. We all have heard that Romney strapped a dog carrier to the top of his car and had his dog travel in it. Maybe not the brightest thing to do, but dogs do like to stick their heads out of the window and ride in the back of trucks. In 1983, a lot of people were doing things by today’s standards wouldn’t be considered bright or safe. Who used car seats back then? Obama Eats Dogs is bringing the absurdity of the Romney Dog strapped to the car issue. It’s been beaten to death, when you want to drop it and discuss the issues, maybe Obama Eats Dogs will go away. Meanwhile, it’s hilarious and even more fun to watch liberal supporters of Obama get their panties in a twist over it. So either laugh along with it (because is it really that offensive that Obama ate a dog?) or just debate the issues. Like under Obama, the economy is in the toilet.

Euripus a year agoThis whole dog thing is like a 2-year-old blame game. ANYONE who brings it on either side is a complete buffoon. Who gives a shit? You could’ve eaten a fucking panda as a child then strapped your pet cat to a go-cart ‘cause he had projectile diarrhea and I wouldn’t care as long as you could run the country well… because thats the JOB I’M ELECTING YOU TO DO. It’s not like either of them had any ill will toward animals. Get over it.
