Guitar Rising

Tech Buzz Guitar Rising is a music video game where the player plays a real guitar as cued by the game’s visuals. It’s like Guitar Hero for people who actually want to learn how to play guitar. For those of you who feel like you’re so over Guitar Hero, there’s a new addiction on the horizon. People without game consoles will be happy to know this game will be made for both the Mac and the PC and include a USB connection for hookup to any guitar. The game is already gathering buzz at conferences, but isn’t due until late 2008, which gives you plenty of time to bid on that ‘62 Fender Jaguar you’ve always wanted.
