Video Purportedly Shows San Francisco Police Fatally Shoot Suspect

In the witness video, a voice can be heard yelling "put it down," in possible reference to a knife. The suspect died on the scene, Police Chief Greg Suhr told reporters.

UPDATE

According to statements from the San Francisco Police Department obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle, the man killed by the officers in the video has been identified as 26-year-old Mario Woods. According to police spokesperson Sgt. Michael Andraychak the officers on the scene attempted to subdue Woods with pepper spray and bean bags, and resorted to deadly force when he did not drop a knife he was allegedly holding.
