When Obama Ran Against The Mandate

Democrats and conservatives alike are fond of attacking Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich for their previous support of a health insurance mandate. But they're not the only flip-floppers: In 2008 President Obama, while debating his Democratic primary opponents and attempting to drawn a contrast, railed against the individual mandate which is now at the center of his current landmark piece of legislation.
