feistychick 8 months agoThat study is bullshit because it doesn’t say that having sex when you’re a teen CAUSES teens to be depressed or commit suicide. That’s like saying people who eat apples are more likely to be addicted to drugs than people who eat oranges. But apples doesn’t CAUSE people to become drug addicted. It’s just a coincidence. This study is nothing more than conservative propaganda to convince children to wait until their married to have sex, which isn’t a terrible thing but A) It’s highly unrealistic and B) It’s not necessary.

sage 8 months agoMittens is correct. I remember the first time I had sex (actual sex, not a vigorous session of dry humping) at the age of 15. I spent days smiling at myself in the mirror and awarding myself imaginary high fives. That was obviously a sign of depression. So depressed was I, I spent the remainder of my summer holiday having sex or trying to have sex - I was more successful at the latter versus the former - which was also a sign of my spiral into the doldrums of mental anguish and torment.
My depression only got worse my freshman year at university, where girls were wearing short shorts and tank tops. Oh the torment, oh the torment brought on by me making the “beast with two backs.” -

summerkindofgirl 8 months agoAs a sexually active woman, I am the happiest I’ve been in the recent few days. I did my own study at home. It was like “boyfriend is apparently not in the mood” study. For seven months I was severely depressed for the lack of sexual activity, now that it’s started back up I couldn’t be happier. My study seemed to work.
