Rhode Island Governor Tells Fox News They Are Too Angry
While discussing the “War on Christmas” with Bill O’Reilly, Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee told him the network was too angry. O’Reilly was angry Chafee called the state house tree a “holiday tree,” like previous Rhode Island governors had dating back to the 1990s.

I’m an atheist and I celebrate Christmas.
Gift giving, music, food, family, and friends.
It’s truly a wonderful time of year.
I don’t get angry or offended when I hear the word “Christmas”
I smile and welcome it.
With capitalism and consumerism devouring what’s left of the true holiday spirit, Christmas is what we need. Not to mention all the civil unrest around the world.
People should really stop fighting over this.
Muslim or Jew, Hindu or Christian. It’s tradition, an American tradition. -

SteelRenegade 6 months agoMan, you have folks argue about ‘war on Christmas’ there??? LOL Well, I’m an atheist, and although I don’t like receiving gifts.. I respectfully accept them when given to me, but I am one who prefers to buy gifts for people I love and care about. If my child wants a tree and all that other Christmas stuff, then I get all that Christmas stuff, cause obviously it makes him happy. Even though I don’t care to celebrate it, I care that my family wants to, so I’m fine with it. All I want around Christmas/New Years time is to see family happy, cause it makes ME happy! Who cares about gifts LOL

Richard Parker 6 months agoI love it when he says, “I’m not angry,” in a rage. I guess I see nothing wrong with calling it a holiday tree, especially if it makes it more inclusive. I’m a Christian, I was raised in a Christian family, I attended Sunday School every Sunday through high school, and I attended every church youth group activity I could. My beliefs are not in any way affected by what someone chooses to call a tree. In fact, my family often just calls it “the tree.”

Some major shit (read: trumped up non-story) somehow hitting the fan every day on conservative news outlets like fox news and scaring them lifeless, or the reservoir of hate that many stockpile in droves just incase they met an Atheist/Muslim/Homosexual/Democrat/et cetera?
