When asked about guns and taxes in an interview with ABC12 in Flint, Michigan. Campaign: “Eventually you’re going to see a local reporter embarrass himself.”
Update: Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck tells BuzzFeed: “The reporter knew he was already well over the allotted time for the interview when he decided to ask a weird question relating gun violence to tax cuts. Ryan responded as anyone would in such a strange situation. When you do nearly 200 interviews in a couple months, eventually you’re going to see a local reporter embarrass himself.”

Laydee Patriot 7 months agoThe interview asked a bizarre and unrelated question in an attempt to twist the Romney/Ryan position on two completely different issues. It’s like saying Obama has created an armed drug-cartel problem by raising taxes on America. He didn’t do one by something else. He did each of those things separately.

oOo 7 months agoThe thing is, it wasn’t such a weird question. It’s the same basic conservative economic message the campaign has been going with and the party has been going with for decades. Yes, cutting taxes - that’s what they feel would lead to greater prosperity for all and result in less violent crime. Why get testy about it now? It’s like the guy was feeding him an opportunity to make the same kinds of statements he always makes. Agree or disagree with the ideology, that’s the sort of thing he usually says.

It doesn’t matter if the question was stupid, if the Mittens-P90X campaign were as compassionate and confident as they pretend to be, fielding such wouldn’t be a struggle. Ryan wouldn’t have had to be such an ass. He missed a good opportunity to explain his position, which makes me think everything besides cutting taxes really *IS* all talk. They’re going to “bring opportunity to the inner cities” how, again? Oh, that’s right. They’re going to cut taxes on those overburdened “job creators,” so they bring GM manufacturing back to Flint (yeah, right). You can tell, just by the way he looked at the reporter, just by the tone of his voice, that he’s a jerk, that he thinks he’s superior to most, and that he believes talking to a small town journalist was a waste of his time. Again, folks, they DON’T CARE about the little guy. Get it through your thick skulls: they’re just not that into you.

It’s clear on the video. 2) It was a “clown question.” The report looks like an idiot linking what Ryan just finished saying with taxes. 3) Baiting headline shows left is getting nervous — and for good reason. 4) If we are going to talk “testy,” that was Obama during last week’s debate AND he’s POTUS, not a VP candidate.

If we have such a crime problem in this country, why are they closing jails and prisons in Florida and Texas? I listened to a county sherif in Lubbock, Texas bemoan the fact that the over built their number of jails and that there are not enough prisoners to make it profitable for a private company to manage so it sets empty. Same story in Florida… does anyone else get a creepy feeling?
