NRA’s New Ad Calls Obama “Elitist Hypocrite” For Having Amed Protection For His Children
The ad appeared on the NRA’s “Stand and Fight” website today after being provided to The Blaze. [[Update]] The ad, and website, were down for a brief time but are back up. A copy that is available on YouTube is also below.
Update An extended version of the ad released makes clear the ad meant the 11 security guards at the school Obama’s daughters attend, not the Secret Service. However, none of these 11 security guards are armed as the ad states.

caubry1989 4 months agoActually the video refers to the armed guards at the school his daughters attend that are not secret service. The guards who are at the school even if the presidents daughters are not attending that school. They said nothing about the secret service protecting our children

And I assume that you are not conservative or Christian? What gives you the right to label a whole group of people like that? Christian values ended slavery in England. William Wilberforce. Christianity ended infanticide in the Roman Empire. And have you ever heard of the Red Cross? You live in your secular bubble and have no idea how we got where we are, or do you?

Benjamin Sapiens 4 months agoHe has the right to say that because his comment is ACCURATE. Yes, the early Christians were wonderful, decent, humane people. Christians these days, on the other hand, are (more often than not) the modern-day equivalent of the Romans: jingoistic pigs with no respect for the lifes of their fellow human beings. And if you want proof that the leaders of the NRA are scumbags without a shred of decency or integrity. Case in point: this disgusting ad.

They are repeating the same mistake that lost the Presidential election for the GOP. You need a consensus and to get a consensus you have to speak and convince more than just your constituency.

Kee L. 4 months agoJust more proof that the only arguments the NRA has are lies. First, nobody is talking about disarming law enforcement officers, i.e. Secret Service agents. Second, no one is talking about confiscating all guns or “disarming” America. They are talking about turning down the volume on weapon power. Including certain weapons in the already large “You can’t own that without special permission” category. That’s all. Just like you can’t own your own private .50 cal machine gun or howitzer or nuclear weapon. Gun owners get a grip. First learn that your “leaders” are lying to you to protect the profits of the gun makers. Then learn that sometimes, being a grown up means stepping back from the ledge and reconsidering what you think and the objects you possess. America has a massive gun problem unique in all the world. It is the ONLY nation in the world without an active civil war that has as many gun deaths. It’s gun death rate is more than twice that of its nearest rival in the first world of nations. And four to five times as high as its direct economic competitors. You can yell Hitler ‘til you’re blue in teh face and scream about how you’re going to kill anyone who even suggests limiting gun rights. Then look at and listen to what was just said either by you or in your name by the likes of Ted Nugent, Wayne LaPierre or the radio shock jock guy or that YouTube lunatic. If what they say doesn’t make you ashamed, you need to reexamine your values. Now go ahead and threaten to kill me.

Jon M. 4 months agoIf we’re going to directly compare the Secret Service protecting the First family to protection of public schools, let’s REALLY do it. Avg Secret Service Agent Salary = $62,000
Number of public Schools in the US = 98,817
Standard issue Secret Service Weapon (Sig Sauer P229) = $900 So if you want one armed Secret Service Agent at every school in the country, that will cost taxpayers $6,215,589,300 Now try to convince me that the House would be willing to support this kind of spending. -
