Man At Romney Rally Wears Mindblowingly Offensive Shirt
The Getty Images photo was taken at a Romney/Ryan campaign event in Lancaster, Ohio on Friday. A Romney spokesperson commented that the shirt was “reprehensible and has no place in this election.”
Update Jamie Sabau, the Getty photographer who took the photo tells BuzzFeed the photo “was taken inside the rally, not taken in line” as some have questioned.
Update 2 Jodi Einhorn, manager of public relations for Getty Images also confirms “that contributing photographer Jamie Sabau shot the image in Lancaster, OH during a rally for Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Republican vice presidential candidate Representative Paul Ryan.”

angrykitty 7 months agoTo the people/trolls claiming that this is a ploy by the liberal media - to quote Ann Romney, “Stop it.” It’s very clear what the intent of that shirt was, and he knew it when he put it on. And having grown up in the South, I have to say, yes, racism actually does exist.

Just look at how the guy put a Romney/Ryan sticker above the racist slogan on his shirt.

Only an idiot would not recognize this as yet another leftwing “false flag operation” that the SEIU and other Democrat activist groups are famous for. A clue is the fact that the guy has a Romney/Ryan sticker right above the racist slogan. These Democrat operatives have repeatedly been caught carrying racist signs or shouting racist epithets at Tea Party rallies. Even the media has caught and exposed several doing it. It’s a shame that the shallow and the gullible do fall for this obvious ploy.

Benjamin Sapiens 7 months agoDon’t worry, it was only sarcasm. My comment was meant to be a mocking impersonation of a racism-denying right winger. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even an exaggeration. It seems like since Obama took office, the entire right wing has adopted a policy of pretending that racism no longer exists in America (which, they believe, will allow them to be as racist as ever as long as they’re not overt about it) and of deflecting any and all accusations of racism by either A) mocking the accuser for “playing the race card” or B) accusing the accuser of being the REAL racist, as if acknowledging racism is somehow the same thing as being racist. Honestly, I liked it better when they just openly admitted they didn’t like brown and black people.

That’s a complete load of crap. We both know perfectly well that Republicans are vastly more racist than Democrats. The GOP embraces racism in order to appeal to white voters. Racism in endemic among Republican voters, and among Tea Partiers especially. That’s just a fact. Accusing a group of something that they are indeed guilty of isn’t even remotely similar to bigotry.

There has not been a president more hated than Obama in recent history and its not just because of his views on health care, the lgbt community , or the military.
