Baldwinrain13 2 months agoWait guys, what is this? Who gives a damn if this guy is a conservative or a liberal? He’s a total fucking idiot. Anyone who asks “When was the last time you heard about a rape on campus?” is completely out of touch with reality and has no business being on television in the first place. Also, these people sitting around debating whether or not someone should vomit, shit, or use a gun to stop a rape, while accepting rape as a unquestioned fact of life, are the reason why so many rapes go unreported. It’s disgusting.

This is a pretty solid plan by Fox News. Get their token liberal to say terrible things, it’s representative of the entire party. It’s exactly the same as having sitting congressmen and people running for office saying terrible things.

What Ann Richards said, “I’m not a sexist, but there isn’t a woman in this state who could find a gun in her handbag let alone a lipstick.” The problem is that when you find you need a gun, the bad person already has one pointed at you and it’s too late to do anything about it, especially when you are talking about rape.

Why is it that people think rape victims are liars?? How terrible that must feel to have been raped and have people think youre lying about it, then to see your perp set free! Shame on you for thinking this way. This is why so many women AND men don’t come forward and get the help they need to heal.

You don’t think there’s anything between “violent rape from a stranger” and “all sex involving a man”? Don’t be ridiculous. Most crimes, in general, are committed by someone who knows the victim. A child is most likely to abducted or molested by a relative, not a stranger. You’re most likely to be murdered by someone you know who has something against you, not a random passerby. And you are most likely to be raped by someone you know. Quite honestly, it’s common sense. It takes a special kind of sociopath to abduct/murder/rape a complete stranger, but only a certain degree of distorted thinking to do it to someone you know (“My kid will be better off with me than his mom, but the court will never let that happen,” “That bitch cheated on me, she deserves what she gets,” “She was being awfully flirty, and she’s dressed pretty provocatively, she must want to have sex with me”). Also, men can be raped and women can be rapists. Men are just far, far less likely to report it or even admit to themselves that they were raped, especially if they were raped by a woman.
