Congressman To Clinton: "The Only Person That’s In Jail Right Now Is The Filmmaker"
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher Wednesday alluded to the fact that no one involved in the Benghazi terrorist attack has been arrested while the the man who made the anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims,” was arrested by California police for a parole violation. The administration originally said the video was the cause of the attack.

mobim 3 months agoWhat the filmmaker did, weather he is or was directly related to the attack, was incredibly irresponsible, and did create a cause/effect that may have only provided a cover for the murderers but was partly to blame - keep him in jail if only for the fraud charges that he duped the actors, and made a ridiculously bad film.

Frogamigo 3 months agoIs the senator insinuating that someone, somehow, needs to be put in jail because of the attack? Should we have put the local defense forces in jail for not preventing it? Where does the senator think he lives, North Korea? LET’S GO AFTER THE TERRORISTS INSTEAD PLEASE. Ass.

velvetknight 3 months agoHe’s in jail for fraud and violating his probation. It has nothing to do with the “movie.”

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months agoTo borrow the words of one of the Facebook commentators: “Not since Kent State have Republicans been so thrilled about the deaths of four Americans.”

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months agoAlso, since we’re talking about “the only person that’s in jail right now is the filmmaker,” let’s talk about a situation that actually deserves some outrage: the fact that the only member of the CIA - hell, the only person in the entire world - going to jail for America’s use of torture is John Kiriakou - the whistleblower who exposed the CIA’s war crimes to the world.

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months ago“we would kill them all if needed” Um, that wasn’t the philosophy of the Allies, that was the philosophy of the Third Reich and the USSR. I, for one, prefer that our country engage in Stalinst thuggery.

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months ago* I for one, would prefer that our country NOT engage in Stalinist thuggery.

jamesj19 3 months agoWe did not win that war by being kinder to the Axis. It was not thuggery. They were armed, they had attacked, it was a simple choice. It was not a philosophy, it was a choice of you or me. The threat today is just as difficult as then but we are hiding the size of the threat with words. But like 70 years ago there will reach a point where everyone will at last understand what we face. We will have reached that point when we are as ‘sensitive’ as we where in 1943, when we asked 16 year olds to volunteer for the Merchant Marine.

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months agoWhat was done in WWII was done because it was absolutely necessary to combat the unprecedented threat of the Axis attempt at world conquest. al-Qaeda doesn’t come close to presenting even a fraction of the danger the Axis did. And the more countries we occupy, and the more innocent people we kill, the more the Muslim world quite rightly comes to hate us - and the more popular Islamist terrorist groups become. The war against Islamist jihadism will only be won by the Muslim world telling the mujahideen fanatics to go to hell - and with every innocent civilian who dies from an American bomb or bullet - ironically - the further we are from victory.

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months agoI’m suprised hellary did’nt bring along some”children for props”
↓ I’m surprised Hillary didn’t bring along some children for props. I assume that your statement (ignoring what an atrociously sloppy sentence you managed to construct) is referring to the children surrounding Obama when he outlined his plans for gun control recently. Your mockery is entirely mistaken, of course, because those children were invited to join Obama for the press conference because they had written letters to him asking him to help make new and better gun control laws. That was a press conference, where that sort of presentation is called for. This is a Congressional hearing, where it would be entirely inappropriate. Make sense now?

velvetknight 3 months agoJosephk17: Johnson was before I was born, and the economy has been just fine for a majority of my life. Even in the various recessions, I’ve been fine because they were bumps in the road, unlike the current crisis which was caused by fraud, deregulation and a refusal on the part of the Republicans to allow any attempts to fix it. Think first, talk later.

deanj2 3 months agoWhy would you think I’m referring to Department of State Security (DSS) when I’m referencing General Ham? Across the city in Benghazi General Ham had back-up forces there, not to mention air power in Italy and the Mediterranean. Nothing was deployed to relieve the compound.

Benjamin Sapiens 3 months ago“She seems to have no sense of self awareness like she’s coke’d up and doesn’t realize she’s being the village idiot.” Actually, that statement accurately describes you and every other unhinged right-winger screeching faux outrage at Hillary.
