Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says the media has vetted him more closely than President Barack Obama because he's a black conservative.
"It's very simple, because I'm a black conservative and in America you're not supposed to be black and be a conservative," Carson said on 93KHJ radio this week, when asked why his candidacy is being treated differently than Obama's was in 2008.
"So you know, it's open range firing on you, nothing is beyond the pale in that situation," Carson said.
