Todd Akin, the Missouri Senate candidate under fire for claiming that “legitimate rape” prevents pregnancy, spent most of today doing interviews about how he’s staying in the race even though the Missouri and national Republican establishments have disowned him. His campaign also made a “Still Standing” website to ask for grassroots contributions.
The original iteration of the website featured a large picture of a fetus, a photo of Claire McCaskill, and the phrase “Tell McCaskill That Your [sic] Standing With Todd Akin!”
The second version of the website lacked a fetus photo, but doubled down on the misspelling of “you’re.”
The third version had a correct spelling of “you’re.”
An Akin spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about the website.
