The National Transportation Safety Board released underwater images of the El Faro cargo ship, which disappeared on Oct. 1, 2015.
The ship was carrying 33 crew members when it disappeared during Hurricane Joaquin.
Federal investigators had said the ship was believed to have been about 20 miles from the eye of the hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean when it last made contact.
The ship was located on Oct. 31, 2015 near its last known location close to Crooked Island, Bahamas.
The ship's data recorder was never recovered from the wreck.
NTSB also released a 2-minute underwater video of the wreckage.
