Flash floods swept through the area, tearing through a ravine while destroying homes and cars. Residents had little to no warning as the waters descended. At least 1,000 have been evacuated as efforts to find survivors continue.

Today, Colombian National Police released a video of a dog rescue amid harrowing flood waters.
