Mitt Romney Wants Super PACs To Disappear
Tonight at the Republican Debate, Mitt Romney called for getting rid of McCain-Feingold and said he wants to let people make whatever contributions they want to campaigns. But in 1994, Romney was calling for ending the association between money and politics and having strict campaign spending limits. Ironically, Romney's campaign was the second most expensive race that year, after the race in California he cited as a reason to get money out of politics.
