Dr. Brian Russell, a forensic psychologist, appeared on Fox News Wednesday to discuss an attempted murder in Wisconsin, in which two 12-year-old girls stabbed a friend 19 times saying the Internet meme "Slender Man" told them to do it.
Russell blamed "a couple of morally underdeveloped, hateful, jealous, little minds with insufficient supervision and parenting."
Here was Russell's full quote:
"I think this is much more probably about immature [sic], hatred, jealousy, narcissism, and probably coupled with in sufficient parenting — probably what we have here are a couple morally underdeveloped, hateful, jealous, little minds with insufficient supervision and parenting. It's probably a more run-of-the-mill attempted murder really."
