Referring to the increased anti-Mexican and anti-immigrant rhetoric in politics this summer, Voto Latino said they hoped the initiative would counter "the growing inaccurate rhetoric about the Latino community."
The campaign is part of Hispanic Heritage Month of Action, a Voto Latino initiative with dozens of advocacy organizations that aims to encourage civic participation and voter registration.
