    An Amazing Swirl Of William Pye

    According to Greek mythology, sirens Charybdis and Scylla lived in the Sicilian Strait. Homer tells us that when the Charybdis stole the oxen of Hercules, Zeus struck by lightning and turned her into a whirlpool, absorbing vessels. In the wonderful “eddy” sculpture by William Pye called Charybdis the circular movement of water in a transparent acrylic cylinder forms an air vortex in the center.
