Most of Hollywood had written off 'Snow White'. No one thought that audience members were going to sit through and hour long cartoon. Little did they know that Disney was about to change things and 'Snow White' was the first in the long line of animated classics.
The movie is named after him, but this adorable little elephant doesn't speak a word in his film. He's too busy flying anyways.
While it may not look as familiar from the front, when you walk through Sleeping Beauty's Castle into Fantasyland, turn around and you will see the German castle Neuschwanstein.

After only one year of construction, the magic kingdom opened it's gates. Although the opening day was far from perfect, with broken water fountains and still sticky asphalt, people still rushed to experience Disney magic.
Can you imagine? One of the most famous cartoon characters was almost called Mortimer Mouse. Thankfully Walt's wife Lillian convinced him that it wasn't a good fit and the name Mickey was chosen instead. Thank goodness.
