Rick Perry Says He Commands An Army The Size Of Burundi's
A new campaign video from Rick Perry highlighting his experience notes that as Governor of Texas he is "a Commander in Chief of 20,000 Troops."
First, it's worth noting that as the "Commander in Chief" of the Texas National Guard, Perry doesn't do all that much — he's not responsible for them when they're federalized.
Second, 20,000 isn't all that much — it's about the size of Burundi's standing army, behind that of military superpowers like Denmark, Tanzania, and Finland.
