Here in France, my wife and I (male) often get treated like this. We always call it out together and have made it a game of who is “head” of the household for which organisation. Mostly it’s her - especially when we feel they would prefer it to be me.

8. We use GIFs with cultural references you don’t understand deliberately. They’re not for you, in the same way that whatever word you use for “cool” isn’t for us. Gen X built all this tech you use, so we can do what we want with it.
