1. The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg
The Polar Express is so beautifully illustrated. I’ll never forget hearing it read aloud to us in elementary school. I love it still today!

The Donkey's Dream is one of my favorites. It's a very simple, yet lovely picture book focusing on the donkey who carried Mary to Bethlehem.

5. The Littlest Angel by Charles Tazewell
Until my Dad passed he read The Littlest Angel to my sisters and me every Christmas Eve. It’s a beautifully written and illustrated story on how the star of Bethlehem was put in the night sky.

I love A Charlie Brown Christmas! Peanuts are always a classic for all holidays!

7. The Night Before the Night Before Christmas by Natasha Wing
My first grade teacher gave us all a copy and I loved it so much. It’s about a family on December 23, scrambling to get ready for Christmas but eventually seeing they don’t need a special tree or tons of gifts. So cute but also hilarious.

Tolkien would write these letters to his children each year, pretending to be 'Father Christmas,' and he would describe the North Pole and stuff like that. It’s beyond endearing. I love it.

Every Christmas Eve before anyone goes to bed, my family sits around someone’s bed and reads The Night Before Christmas. Been doing it ever since I can remember.
15. The Autobiography of Santa Claus by Jeff Guinn
It’s so delightful, and throws in some history of how Christmas traditions came to be.
