Tasty: Buffalo Chicken Taquitos

Buffalo Chicken Taquitos | [ yellow tail ]


  • 24 small corn tortillas (street-taco size)
  • 1 pound shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons buffalo hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder, divided
  • ½ teaspoon salt, divided
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup blue cheese crumbles
  • Oil for frying

  1. In a small
    bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon garlic
    powder, and blue cheese. Set aside.
  2. In a small
    bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder,
    and ¼ teaspoon salt.
  3. Place about
    1 tablespoon of chicken filling in the center of each tortilla and roll
    cigar-style, placing them seam-side down on a tray. Place in the freezer
    for 10 minutes to set.
  4. In a skillet
    over medium-high heat, heat about 1 inch of oil. Fry taquitos in batches,
    making sure to place them seam-side down. Allow to cook for about 2
    minutes and turn in order to brown on both sides (another 2–3 minutes).
    Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve with
    blue cheese dip and celery sticks.
