It's not uncommon for grads to work in industries that aren't closely related to what they studied at university.

It's never too late to change careers. Just try to find a way to apply your previous experience to your new role so you don't have to necessarily start from scratch.

3. "Well, when I was looking for a job..."


The job market changes so often that your parents' advice may not be applicable, but they might still have a few morsels of wisdom that will stand the test of time.

4. "Sorry, I can't hang out tonight... I have work tomorrow!"


Soon you'll be able to use this excuse too! Have faith, and never give up the search.

Moving out can be quite the adjustment. Sometimes it takes more of a push than normal to get on your feet. Use your job search to help get everything in line.
