Mr. Rosplohowski, Mrs. Knoops, Ms. Snowberger, and Mr. Hoover are well known and are many students’ favorite teachers. This interview is about their favorite things to do on Halloween and their favorite horror movies or series.
Mr. Rosplohowski was an Algebra 1 teacher, but is now a counselor.
Hunter Faust: What was the reason that you got into horror films?
Mr. R: I’m not the biggest horror movie fan but I watch horror movies mainly for the jump scares and to feel the adrenaline pumping through you and feel the suspense.
H.F: What is your favorite horror movie or series that you have watched?
Mr. R: The Nightmare on Elm Street series because is was the movie that surprised me the most.
H.F: What is the best memory you have had on Halloween and why?
Mr.R: The first time I was able to take my daughter out for trick or treating.
H.F: Just a fun little question, but what is your favorite candy you like to get on Halloween?
Mr.R: That is a very tough question, but if I have to go for anything it would have to be the flavored tootsie rolls more specifically the lime flavored.
Mrs. Knoops is an English 3 teacher.
Hunter: So have you ever got into horror films or series if so why?
Mrs. Knoops: I never really got into the horror films or series but I do like sci-fi movies.
H.F: Ok, that is interesting! So, what is your favorite sci-fi movie or series?
Mrs. K: I love the sci-fi series Doctor Who because it´s always interesting and it has not failed to keep me entertained.
H.F: What is the best memory that you have had on Halloween and why?
Mrs. K: My best memory is passing out the candy manly because i like seeing the costumes and seeing what the kids do differently every year.
H.F: What is your favorite candy and why?
Mrs. K: My favorite candy is Snickers because it has the best mix of chocolate, peanuts, and caramel.
Mr. Hoover is a Geography, and American Govt teacher.
Hunter: So if you ever got into horror movies or a series what was the reason why?
Mr. Hoover: I honestly never got into horror movies but i did watch some but only when friends or family told me i had to go with them.
H.F: Ok. Out of those movies which was your favorite?
Mr. H: A movie called the Misery because it was kinda creepy to me but it was also intense to watch.
H.F: What is a good memory that you have had on Halloween?
Mr. H: One of my best memories was when I was young my mother made me a homemade wolf man costume and it was one of my favorite costumes I have ever had.
H.F: What is your favorite Halloween candy that you can have?
Mr. H: Mine would be snickers because it was a good mix of peanut butter and chocolate mix.
Ms. Snowberger is a English 2 teacher and over the summer she officially got married over the summer and is now known as Mrs. Shinaver.
H.F: What was the reason that you got into horror films?
Mrs. S: It was a movie that was called John Carpenter Vampires.
H.F: What was your favorite horror movie or series and why?
Mrs.S: It was a movie called Rose Red because it was a supernatural creepy head spinner that was confusing but had a deep backstory to it.
H.F: What was one of your best memories on Halloween?
Mrs.S: I used to watch the horror series Halloween every year because it is actually something that could happen in real life.
H.F: Just a fun little question, but what is your favorite candy you like on Halloween?
Mrs.S: I liked these caramel apple suckers because it is like a caramel apple just not as much of a mess.
