Scott Walker came into office promising to get Wisconsin working again for middle class families. Three years into his term, Walker’s time has been characterized by betrayal, lies, and deceit. Here are 14 ways Scott Walker has broken Wisconsin’s heart this Valentine’s Day.

1. Scott Walker came into office with the responsibility to get Wisconsin back to work and grow our economy for the middle class. What we’ve gotten has been an unmitigated failure of leadership and priorities.

2. He pledged to create at least 250,000 jobs in his first term.

Not even close.

3. Despite his campaign promises, from the day Walker took office, he has turned his back on Wisconsin families and pushed an agenda aimed at gaining support from Tea Party extremists of the Republican base.

4. Walker has been more concerned with his own Presidential aspirations and national prospects than getting Wisconsin back to work.

5. He has left Wisconsin behind to fly across the country attending fundraisers held by right wing billionaires and corporate CEOs.

6. Meanwhile, Walker’s policies have dropped Wisconsin from 11th to 37th in the nation in private sector job creation.

7. He’s declined federal funding for BadgerCare, resulting in 87,000 families being kicked off their healthcare coverage.

Bye-bye health insurance!

8. Under Scott Walker, Wisconsin’s economy has grown at half the rate of the national economy, and we’ve fallen behind our neighboring states in economic growth and job creation.

Because the jobs certainly aren't anywhere around here.

9. Pandering to the extreme base has resulted in the repeal of Wisconsin’s landmark Equal Pay law, forced ultrasounds, scapegoating unemployed and low-income families

...All while the state economy stagnated and our middle class struggled. Shameful.
