4,500+ Parents Petition "Sesame Street" To Feature Breastfeeding Again

Maybe I'm not watching enough "Sesame Street" these days, but is a lack of nursing moms with their tits out really something that's missing from the children's TV series? Thousands of parents seem to think so.

The "Bring breastfeeding back to Sesame Street!" petition outlines their mission statement as such:

Back in the 70's and 80's nursing was tastefully shown on the show but now they have replaced their nursing videos with bottles. Please note... We are not asking Sesame Street to remove bottle feeding. We are asking that both ways of feeding babies be shown as normal.

My only thoughts on the matter are this: "Sesame Street" is totally cool with featuring Katy Perry's boobies jangling about -- enough to make any todder's mouth begin to water... or an adult, for that matter -- but won't talk about breast feeding anymore? Seems kind of silly to me...
