1. Erik von Detten, Brink! (1998)
Ever since his skating days ended, von Detten has made guest appearances and provided additional voices for shows such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Family Guy. The Princess Diaries was his most notable role post-Brink as beefcake Josh Bryant.
2. Phillip Rhys, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999)
Rhys would go on to reprise his role as Proto Zoa/Microbe in Zenon: The Zequel , but he didn’t stop there. Ditching his frosted tips, Rhys has been very active since his Zenon years starring in shows like 24 and Nip/Tuck while collecting some theatre credits as well. Cetus Lepidus what a babe!
3. Chez Starbuck, The Thirteenth Year (1999)
Although our favorite merman hasn’t made any major acting appearances since 2003, he’s still making waves in the art scene. He takes inspiration from pop culture and according to his Instagram, he’s just “making weird shit.” If your eyes are longing for more of Starbuck, he starred in the independent short film The Long and the Short. Thank you Poseidon for washing this cutie up on our shores.
4. Brandon Baker, Johnny Tsunami (1999)
Baker continued to play Johnny Kapahala in the DCOM sequel Johnny Tsunami, Johnny Kapaphala: Back on Board which was about dirtboarding, cause you can’t get more hardcore than that. After shooting, Baker took a few years off from acting to study film at UC Santa Barbara. His most recent work is in the short film The Formula.
5. Taylor Handley, Phantom of the Megaplex (2000)
Following his career as a movie theater assistant manager and phantom hunter, Handley beefed up and hunked out, guest starring on shows like The O.C. and Hidden Palms. He even tried his hand at producing with the film Sink Into You.
6. Riley Smith, Motocrossed (2001)
Smith has been cast in eight prime time shows, as well as taking on film roles ranging from comedy to drama notably in Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s New York Minute and Radio. In attempt to create music for his movies, Smith stared the band “The Life of Riley” with friend Henri O’Connor.
7. Lawrence Brothers, Jumping Ship (2001)
Joey: Joey was no stranger to the camera by the time he was on Jumping Ship. He continued his work in film on TV shows such as Run of the House, Melissa & Joey, and Dancing with the Stars (placing third).
Matthew: Matthew went on to star as the hunky jock opposite Rob Schneider in The Hot Chick. Recently he's guested on Workaholics and reprised his Boy Meets World character, Jack Hunter, on Girl Meets World.
Andrew: Since Jumping Ship, Andrew appeared in another DCOM movie, Going to the Mat where he played a blind wrestler. From there, he's provided voice credits for video games such as Battlefield 4 and Dead Rising 3.
8. Shawn Ashmore, Cadet Kelly (2002)
Ashmore traded in his military uniform for something more super. Since Cadet Kelly, Ashmore’s most notable role has been Bobby Drake or Iceman in the X-Men franchise. He will star this fall on the ABC legal drama Conviction alongside Captain America actress Haley Atwell. Bless you, Canada.
9. Bug Hall, Get A Clue (2002)
Most notable as the precious Alfalfa in The Little Rascals, Hall starred in various independent films and made guest appearances on shows including Charmed, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, and Masters of Sex. He even appeared on the direct-to-video The Little Rascals Save the Day as the Ice Cream Man.
10. Taran Killam, Stuck in the Suburbs (2004)
Taran Killam made his Disney debut with Danielle Panabaker and Brenda Song as the popular yet stifled musician Jordan Cahill. After a string of TV guest appearances on shows like Wild N’ Out and How I Met Your Mother (alongside his wife Colbie Smulders), Killam landed a role on Saturday Night Live where he is a current featured player.
11. Johnny Pacar, Now You See It... (2005)
Following Now You See It..., Pacar landed a supporting role on the teen comedy Wild Child starring Emma Roberts. In recent years, he was a regular cast member on the ABC Family Show Make It or Break It and in the film The Remaining. Aside from acting, Pacar has branched out into music, releasing a solo album as well as one with his band “Forever the Day.”
12. Jake Abel, Go Figure (2005)
You may recognize Jake Abel from his popular work in Supernatural, the Percy Jackson franchise, and The Host, but before that he was just cutie Spencer Shay on the ice which ended up putting him on the map. He is currently filming the movie Holding Patterns with Freddie Highmore and Christopher Meloni.
13. Michael Trevino, Cow Belles (2006)
After his first featured film role in Cow Belles with the Michalka sisters, Trevino took a bloodier role in the hit show The Vampire Diaries for six seasons as werewolf Tyler Lockwood where he’s won multiple Teen Choice Awards. His next role is in the Asian film Out of Control alongside Big Bang rapper T.O.P.
