18 Reasons You're Excited For Mountaineer Football

You're excited to get back to The Rock... so are we.

1. Because this is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the country

...even with the track around it. It's about the atmosphere, right?

2. Because you like to "direct" the marching band's pregame show

We all throw our hands in the air and act like we're in charge... admit it.

3. Because we've come a long way to get here

Started from the bottom, now we're here. Also, we won't be "here" for too much longer.

4. Because this is basically our victory lap

One more year in the FCS and then we're FBS bound.

5. Because our new uniforms look so sharp

We're finally out of that early 2000s era, uniform wise, and that's a good thing.

6. Because you never know what will happen at KBS

Chancellor Peacock could parachute in with the game ball. Yosef could tackle the opposing mascot. You never know up here.

7. Because Yosef looks the best in Kidd Brewer Stadium

Look at that majestic beard and how it flows in the wind... what's not to love?

8. Because you're excited, and repulsed, to see this every year

But finding him in that crowd can sometimes be like finding Waldo in those books.

9. Because being a part of this student section is like being part of a really dysfunctional family

You've got your drunk family members over there, your antisocial family members on the other side, and then your family members that are only here to take pictures without watching the game.

10. Because you get to look forward to this during the mid-autumn games

Howard's Knob looks like a mountain of color once autumn rolls around. Not many other schools in the state can say they have a pretty campus when everything is dying.

11. Because, if you're lucky, you'll get a snowy game

It may be way too cold, but there's nothing like being surrounded by 30,000 people in a blizzard in Kidd Brewer Stadium.

12. Because tailgating here is pretty unique

We don't have one huge lot... we have ELEVEN lots, each with a unique atmosphere that creates some pretty good competition.

13. Because what happens after the game is ALMOST as fun as the game itself

After party at *insert random fraternity* house tonight! Everybody is invited... or at least til the cops bust it up.

14. Because the stadium always looks a little brighter and bigger after the game is over

We've all walked around the stadium after the game was over and reminisced on the day. It just feels like home.

15. Because we're playing for keeps this year

With no playoffs in our future this season, we'll be playing for keeps. We want to be SoCon Champs one last time.

16. Because we've got something to prove

It's our last season in the FCS... we have to prove we are ready for the FBS. We have to put ourselves on the map once more. How can we do that? UGA.

17. Because we could pull off something big

Remember Michigan? Of course you do. Who wants another win like that? Everybody does. We have one more shot when we play at UGA this season.

18. Because this is home

Kidd Brewer Stadium is unlike any other stadium. It's our home, and we'll defend it til the day we die.
