How Walmart Is Helping Fight Hunger And Buying Groceries Online Can Help

Spark change with the Fight Hunger campaign.

Small actions can often add up to a big impact when it comes to helping those in your community. And something like buying weekly groceries for your family from Walmart can help spark change by providing those in need with meals, thanks to the Fight Hunger campaign.

For the sixth year, Walmart is partnering with Feeding America for the initiative, through which you can buy groceries for your family and help feed those in need.

During those first five years, Walmart secured 749 million cumulative meals through this partnership and have a goal of reaching 1 billion meals this year. This year, Walmart is donating $3 million to Feeding America (which equals 30 million meals).

So how can you help?

For every participating product purchased at Walmart or Walmart.com between April 22 and May 20, 2019, brands like Campbell's, General Mills, Unilever, Clif Bar, and so many more will donate $0.10 to Feeding America (up to each manufacturer’s maximum donation). That means each eligible item = one meal!

Simply purchase eligible items in-store, online at Walmart.com, with grocery pickup and delivery, or you can donate directly to Feeding America. Note that when shopping for the eligible items, each product listing shows if it's eligible for in-store pickup or two-day shipping.

You can find more details.
