    Earth Day

    insights about the day

A very happy Earth Day to all. Let's all take the time to embrace the very womb the surrounds us every day. I believe that we can take Mother Earth for granted quite often and that is really not in all of ours best interest is it? Can we take the time to just think of how far we have evolved in such a very short period of time in this world's existence? In a New York minute we have invented so very many things to ease our burdens in life. Not all of these inventions have been beneficial to our planet, some have taken a very big toll!

We have implemented one day of our 365 day year to pay homage to the very thing that lets us exist as humans. Seems to me that we really should pay attention to Earth Day as a whole at least this one day, you?

Collectively we should all see the need to keep our Mother Earth healthy as she has provided us all we have and as Mom's do asked for nothing in return. Wouldn't everyone of us do anything for our Mother's? If so, can we agree that one day set aside to reflect upon the consequences of our actions may only be a very small start?

We as human's all face the inevitability of death, our future generations will not get to enjoy the privilege of existence if they have no Mother from which to be born. I have witnessed the change in our society towards the "me" generation. Not to say we don't have many very good honest, caring, and truly kind people. It seems to me that we have really gotten away from the feeling we are all truly neighbors as we all share this only planet we have.

When I grew up you had family and neighbors, both of which you completely respected and loved. Are we treating our biggest and most loving neighbor, Mother Earth, with the same loving, kind and unconditional respect that we show to our Mother? Just something to take more than one day to think about.

Only one Earth under God indivisible. Happy Earth Day to everyone.
