August Ames, 23, comitted suicide after being bullied on Twitter during several days, because of a tweet in which she explained why she didn't want to perform with a gay male actor.
Here's the tweet:

Of course, a lot of people reacted, telling she was being homophobic, but another performer pointed out that gay actors are not tested as much as straight actors are, and that's why August didn't want to perform with that actor.

Again, it was pointed out how she as the right to do whatever she wants with her body and that she has the right to say no.

Her suicide has raised a legitime question about sex safety in the sex industry and mostly in the porn industry...
Things need to change in this industry.
...and the fact that people or companies think they have some right on workers' bodies...
Producers, companies, agents, and fans NEED to respect performers boundaries.
...and that you should never have to justifiy your choice of saying "no".

So maybe she used the wrong words, probably, however it doesn't justify the hate wave that hit her.
