1. Reykjanes Peninsula

This is a great place to spot puffins.
3. Ásbyrgi Canyon
Legend has it that the canyon was formed by Odin's horse when he touched the ground with his horseshoe.
4. Reynisfjara Rock
5. Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Just one of the many black sand beaches you can find in Iceland. The black sand was created by lava and ashes.
6. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
You can walk behind it during the summer.
7. Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park
This is where the first parliament in the world (the Althingi) was created. It is also where the continental plate of North America meets the Eurasia continental plate. Some Game of Thrones episodes were filmed here as well.
8. Silfra River
You can dive in the Silfra River and swim between the two continents. Pretty neat, right?

It literally means "the people's hot springs". It is a surreal place and you will feel like you are on another planet. Please keep in mind that it is covered in snow during the winter.

It is 6500 years old and during the winter, you can walk on the lake as it is completely frozen.
21. Northern Lights
You'll need solar activity, total darkness, and no full moon to view this beautiful sky. You can see them from late September to mid-April. After that, the days become very long and the midnight sun appears from mid-June to mid-August.
