People Are Really Loving The Way This Guy's Sister Is Tracking Her Mental Health

"Using the tracker really helps my mental health, it makes me feel like every day I'm a new person," Kyra Bailey told BuzzFeed News.

This is 21-year-old Markale Bailey and his 16-year-old sister Kyra Bailey, from Texas. Markale told BuzzFeed News that despite the age gap between them, they're pretty close. "She knows she can tell me anything going on with her life and I will always be there to support her," he said.

Markale said when he walked into Kyra's room recently and saw a "day tracker" of her moods stuck to her closet mirror he was pretty "shocked" – but in a good way.

"My sister is a very creative human being," Markale said as an explanation for why her tracker gained more than 14,000 retweets and 6,900 likes on Twitter.

Walked in my sister room and saw this.......

Markale said he is pretty proud that Kyra is a keeping a day tracker. "It's the best way to analyze what is going on in your life and what you should do to stay positive," he said.

He added: "I wanted to show the people on Twitter how creative Kyra is and ... hopefully inspire other people to keep a tracker of themselves of their lives also or something similar."

People are really loving Kyra's tracker.

Kyra told BuzzFeed News she was inspired to start a day tracker after seeing something on Instagram called "do your year in pixels". The tracker is a quite common formula that can be found in bullet journals.

"At first I thought it was ridiculous because who would do a year in pixels? And who wouldn't forget to fill it in all day? I know I would forget," she said. But after "constantly thinking about it", Kyra decided to make and start her day tracker on 8 January.

"Using the tracker really helps my mental health, it makes me feel like every day I'm a new person," Kyra said.

"This tracker has a huge impact on my everyday life – it's a great way to keep track on how I am feeling during the week," she said. She hopes the tracker will help her in the long run: "It really helps you look back on your past years wondering how you felt through those long days you had at school or at work or just in life in general."

Kyra said she couldn't believe her tracker went pretty viral on Twitter but said, "I'm glad that many people support the chart, I appreciate it a lot!" And she's inspired people to start their own.

And lots of people are wishing for Kyra to have great days. <3
