If your family immigrated to the US, there's probably a bunch of American quirks that your family has a lot of thoughts about.
My family emigrated from Poland and there are some "American things" that just seem super weird to us. For example, my parents are always appalled when Americans don't use curtains or shades for privacy in their windows.
Maybe your family has thoughts about how American guests usually keep their shoes on when they enter your home.
Or maybe you also have certain ~feelings~ about how people apparently make tea by heating their water IN THE MICROWAVE?!
