Among other things, I'm a young writer with too many ideas and not enough assignments! I currently run two blogging efforts with two quite different areas of concentration. My pop music blog, Vertigo Shtick, launched in December, and contains reviews, commentary, playlists, photos, artist and album news, chart coverage, and more, and is a great read for artists and music fans who are more interested in the actual music than in gossip. The Adonis Complex blogs are my other contribution to the blogosphere; the original Adonis Complex launched in July 2009 as a forum on which I could share some of the thousands of webfind photos of good-looking men I'd somehow collected...from similar kinds of blogs, among other places. Since then I have launched several spinoff "genre" blogs: Athletic Supporter (sports and athletes), Uniform Follows Function (uniforms and other outfits), MANochrome (black and white photography) and Blonde Moment (blondes). In December 2009, I launched the newest Adonis Complex blog, Songs and Studs, a unique combination of my two blogging interests that features photos as well as some of my favorite songs from yesterday and today. I first began writing professionally as a political op-ed writer for GayWired.com, a subsidiary of Regent Media (Advocate.com, Unzipped), and later became its main sports writer, including a weekly column called "This Gay Week in Sports", which was a regular if unexpected guest in the "Most Read" columns (sports writing for a largely gay audience isn't what you might call a crowded field) and was referenced by publications as far as Australia. I have also appeared as a guest panelist on BBC Radio's coverage of the 2003 and 2004 Academy Awards, and returned as a panelist on the BBC Radio Five programme "Up All Night" Oscars show.
