Community Engagement Social

This year volunteers with the Centre for Student Engagement completed over 92,460 hours in the community!! This was an amazing accomplishment that the CSE wanted to celebrate alongside all volunteers/ community partners/ team leaders and the UTM community! Check out how we celebrated:

Showcasing the projects

Student volunteers made some visual displays to showcase their projects and volunteer experiences. This was a great way to highlight all their achievements throughout the year!

Cram the Cruiser

We partnered with UTM Campus Police and Seva Food Bank to Cram the Cruiser! Students and Community Partners were asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to fill the UTM Campus Police cruiser, which would then go to Seva Food Bank. The cruiser was PACKED with donated items by 4pm that day!

With Food!

There was a tone of food including pizza, chicken fingers, potato skins, cheese and crackers, drinks, fruits, veggies and dips, and more!

Activities

We had board games, colouring books, and cards out for volunteers and students to engage in! Just cuz our volunteer projects ended, doesn't mean that student engagement with peers should stop here :)

Photobooth

The Photo Booth was quite popular, it came with a fun backdrop and props to take fun pictures with your friends! Student volunteers had a great time documenting this occasion with their friends.

Overall

Overall it was a relaxing event, a great time to catch up and celebrate all the CSE accomplishments from the year with friends we made through the year :)
